Were You Born with Physical Defects?
Are You Battling to Cope with an Acquired Disability or Handicap?
Is Your Deformity Robbing You of Your Quality Of Life?
Does Your Physical Appearance Make You Feel Awkward in Public?

I’d Like to Help You Regain Your Confidence
and Self Assurance DESPITE Your Physical
Challenges
Hello. My name is Adam Phillips, and if you (or someone you know, love, or care about) have any kind of physical deformity, handicap, or disability — then I’m just like you! I also have a variety of physical handicaps that I’ve had to learn to deal with.
So what? ...
Well, I was born when things like foetal sonar scans to check for pre-birth defects were still the realm of science fiction (thank goodness for that, otherwise I might not have been here to tell the tale today...). Birth was a mysterious adventure, and in my parents case — quite a shock!
You see, I was born with a syndrome that affects the limbs and internal organs. I was born with a squint, dropped eyelid, missing bone in one under-developed arm, a fully dislocated wrist, some immobile fingers, a missing thumb, and an under-developed one that was (and still is) totally lax with no joint. In addition, I was also born with only one kidney.
That was quite a lot to deal with way back in 1968! It was a case of sink or swim for my folks and me.
One day, I came home from school — crying — because of the merciless bullying and the unending teasing. In case you don’t know, kids can be the cruelest creatures on earth — especially in packs! I was about 7 or 8 years old at the time. It was at that time that my dad said something to me that changed my life for the better ... forever!
“My boy,” he said, “you now have to make a choice. ... You can spend the rest of your life in an institution having everything done for you, ... or you can discover the joys of independence and self-reliance, and become even better than your tormentors.”

That’s pretty heavy stuff for a 7-year old, but I’ve never looked back!
Since then, I’ve made a success of life, despite all the physical challenges I have — with a close circle of friends, great careers, a wonderful family, financial independence, and most importantly — a confident, success-based mind set!
What this means for you is that you get to share the benefits of my 40+ years of practical experience in handling physical challenges, understanding people dynamics, and coping with the associated emotional turmoil that goes along with living with disabilities.
No matter what your particular physical challenge is — missing digits, missing limbs, scars, reconstructive surgery, birth defects — the process of becoming comfortable with your situation and feeling comfortable in your own skin again, is similar in most cases.
Contrary to popular opinion, this isn’t something that you “just get over”, or “just work through.” Rather, it’s a process that takes just a little effort, but requires a mind-shift as drastic as your changed physical circumstances!
You needn’t remain an unhappy victim of circumstance.
Having me as a guide that actually relates with your situation, and has faced similar challenges, will prove invaluable in shortening the process of developing your own unique set of coping strategies and techniques that apply to your personal circumstances. The set of coping skills that you’ll acquire will make your life journey more enjoyable and interesting — even fun!
I’m a Practitioner Member of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (CoMenSA), so you can be assured of 100% ethical and professional coaching sessions governed by a strict code of conduct.
Now’s the time to start taking positive steps towards the life you’ve always imagined!
You’ll be amazed at how much potential inside you is just waiting to be unleashed. ... Don’t hate yourself later for not taking advantage of the opportunity to unlock that potential today!
