What Services Do I Provide?

The answer that question is simple. ... I provide only two types of services:

However, before you decide whether coaching is right for you, perhaps it might be a good time now to talk about what coaching is, ... and what it isn’t.

What IS Coaching?

The answer to THAT question is about as varied as there are coaches themselves. In this case it might be helpful to first discuss what coaching IS NOT.

Coaching is not therapy or counseling. Coaching is not meaning or emotion focused. It’s not looking into the past and trying to understand your present situation or current behavior. Coaching doesn’t assume a “broken/fixed” mental or physical framework as used in many medical practices. Counseling and therapy are valid, useful tools used by trained health care professionals. So, when it comes to counseling and therapy — I am untrained, unqualified, unlicensed, ... and unattractive! I will however refer you to a trained counselor or therapist should your situation require it.

Coaching is not training. Training is concerned with imparting concrete knowledge and skills. Coaching isn’t used as a problem solver. As your coach I’ll help you define available options open to you, raise your awareness to other points of view, and raise awareness about yourself. Through coaching you may discover areas where you will require, or even desire, actual training to pick up certain concrete knowledge or skills.

So, what is coaching? ...

Here’s one definition to get started — there are many others:

“Coaching is a professional, collaborative and outcomes-driven process ... that seeks to develop an individual and raise self-awareness so that he or she might achieve specific goals and perform at a more efficient level.” - CoMenSA - Coaches and Mentors of South Africa

The overall purpose of my coaching is to help you operate more effectively in a competitive world.

Coaching helps you to identify and develop your skills, improve your performance, maximize your potential, and become the person you want to be.

Coaching is an ongoing collaborative process that involves setting realistic goals, and tracking your progress in reaching those goals.

Coaching focuses on achieving higher performance, and challenges you to think and act differently.

Coaching is an investment in yourself. No one can force you to go for coaching, and I know from experience that coaching isn’t effective until you are good and ready for it!

The first step of coaching begins before you even start looking for a coach. The first step is internalizing the desire for positive change in your life. Only you know when it’s that time.

The BIG question is ...
Are YOU ready to change your life positively?

If so, give me a call. I still have some openings in my coaching calendar that you can take advantage of.
